Ipswich Private Kindergarten (IPK) - nursery staff

Our Approach

Parents can take comfort in the knowledge that at Ipswich Private Kindergarten every child is cared for by experienced, highly qualified Early Years practitioners who are committed to providing the highest quality childcare and education for children aged from 3 months to 5 years. We are a privately owned childcare provider, registered and inspected by Ofsted and we are able to cater for up to 86 children at any one time on a full or part time basis, 51 weeks per year. We are open 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and are closed for one week at Christmas and on Bank Holidays.

We begin by respecting the needs and requirements of every child, as an individual and as part of a family, and we work closely with parents to ensure that every child's needs are met. Children are grouped according to age and ability and we have seven spacious classrooms fully equipped with age appropriate toys and resources. We also boast superb outside play areas and gardens that include patios, lawn, sandpits and safety-surfaced areas.

Nursery Staff

We recognise it is of great importance that we should employ well qualified, experienced staff in order to maintain a high standard of care and education and we always have more staff than the minimum requirements as set by Ofsted.  This enables the staff to spend more time with children individually.

To maintain our high standards, every member of staff is encouraged to take on further training, thus improving their knowledge in how to care for every child in every situation. Every member of staff is paediatrically first aid trained, which is regularly updated. Also, many of our staff hold certificates in Safeguarding Children and Food Safety, so you can be sure your child is in safe hands should there ever be an emergency situation.

The Key Person approach
Read More

During your child’s stay in each classroom at IPK he or she will be allocated a key person. Each member of staff is responsible for a small group of children to whom he or she will be their principal carer. This ensures that each child is treated as an individual and the consistency of staff gives your child a sense of security throughout the day. Your child’s key-worker is also your first point of contact should you wish to discuss any aspect of their care, progress or development.
